Values Poems

Here is another poem written by one of our students, I am extremely proud of the thinking our students are doing and the fantastic work they produce:

Pride
Pride wanders around looking for someone to help, leading people to success through encouragement. Pride supports anyone he sees, telling students daily to never give up and keep moving forward. Pride will always stand tall no matter what ever is in front of his path. Pride wears tidy clothes, that represents who he is and what he does. Pride well never let anyone down.

VALUES POEMS

Imagine... Respect is actually a person.
  • What does he look like?
  • What kind of clothes does he wear? Are they clean and tidy? Or are they scruffy and covered in mud?
  • What kind of person is he? Is he friendly or mean? Does he help others or does he push them around?
  • What does he enjoy doing?

Students in Room 1 were given the task of describing what kind of person EXCELLENCE, PRIDE, RESPONSIBILITY, RESPECT, or INTEGRITY would be. They needed to use their knowledge of these values to decide how they would describe their person. Here are some examples of what our students came up with.

Excellence
Excellence is uses her happiness to her advantage. The quality of her style is perfect and spotless. She is a caring citizen, loyal to each person she meets. She takes responsibility for her learning and is part of the solution with problems at school. Her smile shows everyone her bubbly personality. She always climbs the mountain and reaches the top.

Respect
Respect walks around looking out for others in need of help, no matter where or when they are in need. She is not a selfish person that only cares about her self, she likes to encourage people. Respect looks up to people as well as being looked up to. She values others peoples opinions and ideas. She tries very hard to look sharp with clean appropriate clothes. She has long brown hair with hazel green eyes that twinkle as bright as the stars.
